Nana B chases Mahama for answers

The National Youth Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has repeated calls from fellow party (NPP) members to the presidential candidate of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, to name his running mate.

Nana ‘B’, as Henry Nana Boakye is popularly called, wonders why after one year, four months, former president John Mahama has still not named a vice presidential candidate for the 2020 general elections.

The NDC has yet to name a running mate to partner its presidential candidate, John Mahama. And General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has said the party will pick a vice presidential candidate in due time.

But members of the ruling New Patriotic Party appear to be in a haste to see their major opponent, the NDC, name a vice presidential candidate.

Apart from being on the neck of the NDC to go public with its policy alternatives, the ruling party also spares no chance in questioning why the NDC has still not been able to come out with a running mate to partner former president John Mahama in the 2020 elections.

On this particular occasion, on the Friday edition of Peace FM morning show ‘Kokrokoo‘, after President Akufo-Addo filed nomination, Nana B said: “Akufo-Addo is going unopposed and he is going with the Vice President of the Republic but the former President who is an astute politician after one year four months you have still not selected your running mate…”

Consequently, Nana B concluded that former president John Mahama’s delay in naming a running mate means that he is ‘indecisive.’

Meanwhile, a staunch member of the opposition NDC, Mr Allotey Jacobs, has advised the party to name a running mate with the pedigree of Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
